The science behind living

I wondered how I could represent the art of plant breeding in a piece of artwork. I find that collage art is one of my favorite mediums because it takes a collection of things that already exist and creates something new. Plantbreeding is like this in a way, taking what the earth gives us and creating something better for the people who live on earth. I believe that plant breeding is truly the science behind living, and it manifests itself in many different ways, particularly agriculture. With more scientific innovations in the field of plant breeding we can move towards more sustainable agriculture and more nutritious food. I hoped to represent the good and the bad of agriculture and the fact that plant breeding is the driving force behind it.
