Outreach
As all land grant universities, UW – Madison is charged with conducting research, teaching, and outreach.This mission is further stressed by the Wisconsin Idea where we believe that education should influence people’s lives beyond the boundaries of the classroom, and that we should serve the people of Wisconsin and the World.
We use these as guiding principles in our research breeding program outreach and educational outreach to maximize the impact of our academic activities. With our outreach activities, we serve farmers, seed producers, off-campus students, non-traditional groups, middle-school children, and everyday consumers.
